Watch out, it must have 1000 hp to need that much cooling.

I don’t know how much involvement DeTomaso actually had with that, it may have just been a brand licensing deal.

10/10 would drive. 993cc turbo I3, Nardi wheel, Recaro seats and “racing-derived” cam.

We need a modern update with an 8k RPM flat plane engine, turbocharger, 200HP...but still only 1L. Think you’re the kings of HP/L do you, Germany? WELL I’LL SHO U!!!

“the 926R’s CB70 turbo engine produced a modest power figure of 120ps @ 6,500rpm and 15.0kg/m @ 3,500rpm which was well above the 926 Turbo’s unremarkable 76ps, but that wasn’t such a drawback considering the 926R’s weight was only around 800kg!...The CB70 was mated to a 5 speed manual transmission and drove the rear wheels through a mechanical limited slip differential. Double wishbone suspension at all four corners with coil over type spring and damper set up gave the 926R handling to match it’s rivals.”

It all started with De Tomaso Innocentis. Basically an Italian Mini with slightly different bodywork. Later models got turbocharged Daihatsu engines, I think we can guess the rest from here.
